In my travels to Copenhagen, I was able to go to the fabulous museum of Arken. I was pleasantly surprised by this Jean-Michael Basquait & Andy Warhol Exhibition. I had not seen many of these collaborative paintings before, and was thrilled by the size of the collection as well as the include of famous pieces as well. Stunning.

“Lost Paradise” at Marienne Boesky Gallery – Works by Diana Al-hadid, Mathias Kesseler, and Juliao Sarmento.

This exhibition was absolutely stunning. the combination and curation of the work flowed so well together. The large sculpture blew me away with its mixture of geometric and organic forms, space/cavities, japanese influence, and subtly of color. Absolutely lovely.

I was able to go see the Chuhuly Exhibition with my sisters Laura and Janna and friend Niki. It was mind blowing. I’ve never seen the glass medium pushed so close to the edge. Lovely and Modern.

The Future of a Promise, Contemporary Art from the Arab World. This is the Biennale’s first pan-Arab exhibition of Contemporary art. If you enjoy some of these works the website is www.thefutureofapromise.com. I wish I took more photos but they gave me an awesome little book with all the art pieces in it for free.

I recently went to these two museums. One I saw on art night and the other I saw on my own. These museums are a display of Fancois Pinault’s private collection. He is one of the largest collectors of contemporary art in the world. They were filled with recent work from big name contemporary artists. It was really incredible and I just happened to stumble upon it. I was not allowed to take photos so I wrote down the names of the things I liked then found them online.

I saw these artists during Art Night Venice. The exhibition venues were Emilio Vedova…in continuum and Anslem Keifer, Salt of the Earth. I loved both of them. I was lucky to get some pictures of Anslem Kiefer’s exhibit because I found out later that I wasn’t supposed to take pictures.

I visited this venue during Art Night Venice. It was so much fun. They set the mood by playing awesome techno music throughout the place.
