White Ring – IxC999 – very inspired by the hand drawn aspect in connection with the music. thanks Isaac!
This exhibition was absolutely stunning. the combination and curation of the work flowed so well together.
I really enjoyed the hand-cut vinyl pieces
Great Installation by Pheobe Washburn. Love the wood and the colors, and the inability to enter the “lab”
I was able to go see the Chuhuly Exhibition with my sisters Laura and Janna and friend Niki. It was mind blowing. I’ve never seen the glass medium pushed so close to the edge. Lovely and Modern.
The Future of a Promise, Contemporary Art from the Arab World. This is the Biennale’s first pan-Arab exhibition of Contemporary art. If you enjoy some of these works the website is www.thefutureofapromise.com. I wish I took more photos but they gave me an awesome little book with all the art pieces in it for free.
I recently went to these two museums. One I saw on art night and the other I saw on my own. These museums are a display of Fancois Pinault’s private collection. He is one of the largest collectors of contemporary art in the world. They were filled with recent work from big name contemporary artists. It was […]
I saw these artists during Art Night Venice. The exhibition venues were Emilio Vedova…in continuum and Anslem Keifer, Salt of the Earth. I loved both of them. I was lucky to get some pictures of Anslem Kiefer’s exhibit because I found out later that I wasn’t supposed to take pictures.
Future Pass explores the relationship between the creative energy of contemporary art in Asia and the rest of the world. More info www.future-pass.com. I visited this venue during Art Night Venice. It was so much fun. They set the mood by playing awesome techno music throughout the place.
Here are pieces from the Arsenale. The place was so huge I still have not seen the whole thing. More to come soon.

The awesome art venue MMX in Berlin where my good friend Jason Burgess works has a project on Kickstarter where they are publishing a book. Get the book on Kickstarter! When I went to Berlin I was able to go to this incredible venue. (take a peek at my photos on artcation.com) It was really […]
W Magazine is doing a “fashion on film” contest. My good friend Belinda Martin was involved with the video titled “FOLLOW ME” by Christina R. Go vote! The idea of duality was important to me, as it reflects the potential fashion has to transform oneself.
This photo makes me speechless. I just love Peggy Guggenheim, her life, and all that she did for art. A real example of the motto: “Life is short, Art is long.” lived out.
This is just a wonderful project done by Caitlin Parker called “Let The Outside In.” I absolutely love this series. Nature taking over a little house… all the animals that visit. It makes me wish I lived in the woods! Here is what Caitlin has to say about the project: This is a 4 minute […]
The Hamburger Bahnhof was absolutely stunning. The Bruce Nauman show was INCREDIBLE.
This is unbelievable. I would love to have experienced this! Clouds are important elements of our atmosphere, framing outdoor space and filtering sunlight. They are the visible part of the terrestrial water cycle, carrying water— the source of life—from the oceans to the land. Clouds find balance within stable equilibria and naturally sustain themselves, embodying […]
I spent four hours in the Louvre on a Wednesday afternoon. Here are some of my findings.
6th Berlin Biennale: Oranienplatz 17 Building. There were a lot of videos so I dont have as many photos for this building as I do the KW.
Here is a general gallery of pieces in the KW building of the Biennale. It was an extremely well crafted exhibition and all the pieces flowed greatly into each other. I seriously enjoyed the exhibition and was actually rather overwhelmed with the care, craft, and intensity of some of the pieces. The videos below the […]
Hammock – Breathturn from David Altobelli on Vimeo. Thanks Josh
In case you couldn’t tell, I’m really into Petrit Halilaj’s work at the Biennale. Here is a piece he did where he floated a feather in a water tank. He had little motors in the water to blow water on the feather. It created this eternal lovely subtle flowing motion like in air. It was […]
