I love these large scale wood spheres from artist Jaehyo Lee. It truly is blowing up such a small concept. #GoBigOrGoHome
I just love these photos by Li Hui. Weekend Inspiration: Li Hui » ISO50 Blog – The Blog of Scott Hansen (Tycho / ISO50).
It toronto this past weekend, I got to experience their annual one-night-only art event Nuit Blanche. Outdoor and indoor art installations all over the city! In particular, I enjoyed this installation titled “Top Down” by BRDGlab. In their words: This installation creates an artificial topography from our city’s diverse building heights and reduces that landscape […]

I just loved this video by Corey Archangel – He took a film and stretched its pixels. It was truly beautiful but maintained the original video audio. Check out the video below. Cory Archangel’s “Colors” clip from the Tate Modern
Oskar Fischinger’s “Raumlichtkunst” was an incredible film. It’s colors and Geometry were just gorgeous. The sound in combination with the high impact visuals in the dark room left me a bit woozy and foggy after, but well worth it. I can’t imagine making such a film before computers. Dont miss watching the video below. Oskar […]
I really enjoyed this piece by Giuseppe Penone called “Tree of 12 Metres.” There is something beautiful about taking a man-made/milled/manipulated item, and then carving it back to resemble the organic form that it once was before we touched it in the first place. Quite poetic.
Damien Hurst’s exhibition at the tate modern was thrilling. It was outrageous, arrogant, outlandish, thoughtful, meticulous, grotesque, and beautiful. Butterflies paintings contrasted with paintings made from dead flies.. live flies, live butterflies, dead animals in formaldehyde, diamonds, and pills contrasted with cigarettes. wow. I still dont know how I quite feel about the exhibition other […]
I had the fabulous pleasure of exploring the Tate Modern in London on my most recent Artcation. Below are a lot of the pieces I found interesting.
I really enjoyed Pete Schlute’s exhibition at Beta Pictoris Gallery. The geometric forms really grabbed me… in a very deep way. The combination of the sharp lines with delicate charcoal was stunning in combo with hints of subtle color. Well done. I want them all. Go Checkout the exhibition!

I’m in love with this Nuria Mora.
I’m officially obsessed with Jason Middlebrook‘s work.
I can not tell you how much I’m in love with these outdoor installations. I love the gravity defying rocks and branches. Making things with weight seem light has been something that I’ve been dreaming up in my head for a while… and this captures a lot of my dreams. Wow. Gravity-Defying Land Art by […]
This is so beautiful. A Wall of Shattered Glass Floods a Benedictine Monastery | Colossal.
Neat pencil work art by Daniel Danger. .
People are taking the piss out of you everyday. They butt into your life, take a cheap shot at you and then disappear. They leer at you from tall buildings and make you feel small. They make flippant comments from buses that imply you’re not sexy enough and that all the fun is happening somewhere […]
In my travels to Copenhagen, I was able to go to the fabulous museum of Arken. I was pleasantly surprised by this Jean-Michael Basquait & Andy Warhol Exhibition. I had not seen many of these collaborative paintings before, and was thrilled by the size of the collection as well as the include of famous pieces as well. Stunning.
When I went to The opening of A Dog From Hell at Beta Pictoris Gallery, two pieces really caught my attention. They were Derek Cracco’s “The Space Between.” It was really wonderful to see this work coming from a Birmingham native! I personally really enjoyed these pieces and the extra visual dimension that they gave […]
via: Suspended Together | Colossal. Suspended Together” is an installation that gives the impression of movement and freedom. However, a closer look at the 200 doves allows the viewer to realize that the doves are actually frozen and suspended with no hope of flight. An even closer look shows that each dove carries on its body […]
I can’t tell you how much I love this. Guido sent this to me because of a conversation I’ve been having with him of an art project that I’ve been mulling over called “YOUR DATA MUST BE ANALYZED” and to see someone do such a beautiful job of visualizing data in animation/video form. truly inspiring.
